John pedestal table

The John table family includes pedestal tables with a height of 730 mm and round tabletops. This table is often used as a dining table or meeting table. A wooden pedestal table with a tabletop up to Ø1200 mm provides seating for 5–6 people.

The pedestal base is round and elegant, creating a sleek and clean design while blending harmoniously with the floor. The base is available in two different sizes to meet the diverse needs of various settings. The larger base is particularly suitable for environments where the table may also serve as support, such as in nursing homes or other healthcare facilities.

The John pedestal table, designed by Formforyou, is more than just a table—it is a sophisticated interpretation of modern Scandinavian design. With its round pedestal base and subtle, contemporary feel, John exudes both versatility and elegance. It is a pedestal table equally suited as a dining table or a meeting table in an office.

The John table collection offers the flexibility to customize color, shape, and size according to specific needs. In the John table family at a height of 730 mm, there is also a version with a rectangular tabletop, available with one or two pedestals. The John table family pairs perfectly with the Jim T-frame.

Glue-free assembly and disassembly enable integration into a circular furniture flow. The apron-free pedestal table features a minimalist and modern design, with its solid wood pillar and elegant round metal base inviting free seating at the table.

The core of the table top consists of a 21 mm environmentally certified birch plywood, adaptable for modifications. The seamless top surface is clad with sandable thick veneer (1.5 mm), HPL, DT Linoleum, Kayar, or a custom choice. The underside of the tabletop is pre-drilled and equipped with M6 threaded inserts for easy assembly and disassembly of the pedestal, enhancing the table's circular properties.

The edge of the table top is visible birch plywood reduces the number of materials used in the table. The edge is 12 mm thick with a 30 mm chamfer, creating a sleek and thin design. The edge radius is 2–3 mm, and the corner radius is 10 mm, offering a soft, tactile feel.

Base specifications:

Base Ø600 mm for tabletops >700x700 mm, RAL 9003 or custom choice. Solid wood pillar Ø80 mm, metal base plate 10 mm thick.

Base Ø400 mm for tabletops <700x700 mm, RAL 9003 or custom choice. Solid wood pillar Ø56 mm, metal base plate 8 mm thick.

The solid wood pillar is encased by the sleeve of the base plate and mounting plate (height 100 mm), centered for stability. Plastic floor protectors are attached for floor protection and to prevent wear.

The tabletop, wooden pillar, and base plate are assembled glue-free using bolts into the pre-installed M6 threaded inserts in the tabletop, ensuring simple assembly and disassembly.

This table is fully detachable with hand tools, allowing reassembly after refurbishment or spare part replacement while maintaining functionality and stability. The clearance from the floor to the underside of the tabletop is >700 mm.

The table comes with a 5-year warranty and a 10-year spare parts warranty.
