Sound-dampened tabletop, LOW
LOW is a sound-reducing alternative to our standard tabletop. The construction is based on our plywood top but is complemented with 3 mm cork and 3 mm MDF beneath the surface material. The dampening layer is placed close to the surface to absorb vibrations where impact noise occurs.
LOW can be selected for all tables in our collection and combined with all our surface materials. Table models whose edge is chamfered exposed plywood are recommended to be edge-banded to protect the construction.
Verified difference
LOW has been tested by RISE side by side with our standard tabletop, with the same surface material on both tops. The results have been analyzed together with Akustikverkstan and show a clear reduction in the sound that occurs when using the table.

The over-laminated surface material covers the solid wood edge from above and creates a tight, durable transition that protects the plywood core from dirt and moisture.

Edge band: 10 mm solid ash/oak/birch
Edge band, round top: 2 mm ash/oak/birch
