With Möbelfakta, we demonstrate sustainability – both in use and responsibility.
Möbelfakta is an independent certification that brings together three crucial requirements in one system:
Quality: The product must meet European and international standards for sustainability, safety, and functionality.
Environment: Materials should be carefully selected, free from harmful substances, and used resource-efficiently.
Social Responsibility: Manufacturing should take place under good working conditions – both with us and our suppliers.
The label is a guarantee that a piece of furniture is developed with care, knowledge, and responsibility. Read more at mobelfakta.se
Step by Step
How a Piece of Furniture is Certified

1. Product Development and Material Selection
In close collaboration with designers, we develop our tables with Möbelfakta for public spaces as a standardized starting point. Already in the design phase, the focus is on creating furniture that is not only aesthetically appealing but also constructed to endure a long life in public spaces. This involves everything from reinforced constructions to thoughtful details that minimize wear and withstand impacts.
Simultaneously, we ensure that the materials meet the requirements. The wood comes from our FSC-certified supplier, who is also located in the same premises as us – something that gives us full control, transparency, and short lead times. The surface treatment is, of course, free from hazardous chemicals.

2. Technical Testing and Documentation
The furniture is sent to an accredited testing institute – in our case, RISE in Borås – where it undergoes thorough testing according to applicable standards for use in public spaces. This can involve everything from load and stability to safety aspects such as sharp edges or tipping risks. All test data on the table/chair is documented and archived as part of the certification basis.

3. Review of Social Responsibility
We ensure that our furniture manufacturing – both in our own production in Tibro and with suppliers – takes place under ethically sustainable conditions. This involves working environment, human rights, and respect for international guidelines.

4. Application and Control
When all documentation for the furniture is complete, a comprehensive dossier is submitted to Möbelfakta. They review materials, test results, and corporate responsibility before granting their approval.

5. Certification and Labeling
Once everything is approved, the furniture receives the Möbelfakta label. It is registered publicly, giving you, as a customer, full transparency.
Here you can see a summarized list of which pieces in our collection have Möbelfakta certification.
What does the label mean for you as a customer?
When you choose a Möbelfakta-labeled piece of furniture from Lundbergs Möbler, you get a piece that is:
Tested for long-term use
Made with responsible material choices
Produced under fair working conditions
In short – you get a wooden piece of furniture you can trust. Both today and tomorrow.
a security for you
Certifying with Möbelfakta is a comprehensive process where our wooden furniture is tested by an independent party. It requires time, precision, and documentation – but for us, it is an obvious investment.
We want to deliver wooden tables and chairs that last a long time, so long that one day we get them back, to give them new life and let them circulate. Again and again. That is our view on quality. And that is our view on responsibility.
