Swedish-made furniture, over 79 years of experience in making wooden tables. Today, our ambition is to be the leading supplier of wooden tables for the Nordic market with our own furniture production and development in Tibro.
Olle Lundberg, grandfather of today's owner, was the carpenter who after the war in 1945 wanted a bit more and bought a furniture factory together with his partner, Lundberg and Midstens Furniture Factory. Then as now, the focus was on crafting good wooden tables and chairs. Over 79 years of experience in furniture manufacturing and the use of tables and chairs is now in our DNA. The feeling and our commitment to details as furniture carpenters grew mainly during the 70s and 80s when Lundbergs Furniture became Scandinavia's leading manufacturer of Gustavian Furniture. A production characterized by carvings, careful material choices, and hand painting.
Our Gustavian heritage can be seen today in, for example, the Ramo-X table with its well-crafted and artisanal details.
Today, our ambition is to be the leading supplier of wooden tables for the Nordic market with our own furniture production and development in Tibro.
Still with great attention to detail and material choices, but now also with a strong commitment to making our furniture more circular and ensuring we do our part in working towards the 1.5-degree goal. You can read more about this under the Long Life tab and also under Reconditioning Services, which is our latest step towards a more circular future.
Welcome to our world that revolves around tables!
We want to be the leading supplier of wooden tables while helping market players make conscious choices and create circular table flows. In this way, we want to contribute to reducing the greenhouse effect.
A table is not just a table. Some tables have the task of reducing noise levels, some must withstand heavy wear, and some tables have the task of creating spontaneous and relaxed meetings. Unlike many other pieces of furniture, the table does not just have the function of offering comfort or beautiful design. From this insight, we create a range that works and is adapted to the environment they are to operate in. That is why our tables come in over 3000 variants and are constructed for reuse.
Our furniture series Wilma was created by Olof Bratt and Katrin Kahl back in 1998 and is considered a furniture classic today. With inspiration from the Stockholm archipelago, where they spent their summers, Wilma was designed with a feeling of sun, summer, and salty baths. Additionally, with the best materials and woodworking joy in the details. The Wilma tables and chairs are still manufactured today in our factory here in Tibro and sold through Mio in Sweden. For those outside Sweden, get in touch with us.
More about WilmaIt also means we must take care of it. Without good and strong raw materials, we get nowhere. We make tables and chairs from wood. Wood is a fantastic material. It contributes to a more balanced indoor climate as it captures and releases moisture. That wood appeals to human senses through structure and appearance and has a stress-reducing effect are just some of the positive properties of wood. We source our wood raw materials from Central Europe and always with the requirement that the timber must be FSC-certified. As a logical consequence of our love and need for wood, we have also engaged as a support company for the Nature Conservation Association. There we have chosen the forest as our support area.
The trees and the forest need a strong partner that uncompromisingly stands up for them. Our main environmental argument is that we make furniture that is the opposite of throwaway furniture. Furniture whose lifespan we can extend through good care advice, functional spare parts supply, and qualitative reuse of the furniture. Maybe reuse is the norm and new purchases the exception in the future? We shall prepare to be a leading player even then!
A beautiful little village by Lake Örlen that gave me and my family a good upbringing. The heart of the village is the small big sports club Fagersanna IF. A wonderful sports facility created by volunteers where football and other sports are practiced with a focus on children and youth. An activity that has been recognized at both national and local levels where men's and women's sports now coexist on equal terms. Here I was raised and I am glad we can help.
Trees that become tables and chairs in our production and then are used at various gatherings around the world. Important decisions are made, couples get married, and people say goodbye around our tables. That we contribute to forest management that is long-term and sustainable is crucial for our own future. We are not just thinking about our business. Our support for the Nature Conservation Association and its research and work in creating awareness on forest management issues is therefore completely logical for us. Our forest and fauna need the Nature Conservation Association, which always and uncompromisingly stands on the side of the trees.
We are proud and happy to be involved in giving children a safe upbringing and a brighter future. In Sweden and around the world, Save the Children ensures that children receive healthcare, clean water, food, education, and protection against violence and abuse. Here and now, Save the Children changes children's lives – because safe children become safe adults. Saving the children is saving the world.
